I have an Edenpure and really like it. I do believe there are other good heaters on the market that are compatible, but haven't researched them. What I DO like about the Edenpure is that they use copper inside, and long after the heat cuts off, it continues to blow hot air off of the heated copper. It also doesn't burn oxygen and dry the air as bad as other space heaters, but some people don't care about that, so......

Just get you a 1500 watt hair dryer for $10 and carry it around from room to room. It'll put out as much heat as the EdenPure.

My cousin bought the Duraflame 1500 watt and is very pleased with the heat it generates. My dad bought one at Walmart 1500 watt (not sure of the brand) and it heats their mobile home very well. They may have to run their furnace some if it gets really cold. The one at Walmart says it will heat up to 1800 square feet, however 1500 watt will heat up to 1000 square feet. I have done a lot of research on the heaters and so far Lifesmart is the only one I would not purchase as their have been a few housefires from these heaters.

Have one, works great!!! Couldn't be a great deal of difference in the brands as they are all basically the same.

We have one. We use it as additional heating source. If in a small room it is fine but in large rooms it is not as good. Definatly couldn't use as the only heat source though.

Mine is called a "Comfort Furnace." I think it is around the same price as an Edenpure. However, it works great! I love it.

Does anybody have the Edenpure space heater? Trying to decide if I want that brand or a cheaper one. Any suggestions?
