septic tank smell

the drain field might be shot...and is not allowing the waste water to drain out of the septic tank...so it could be backed up again...

Maybe one of the traps leaked out or went dry. That could cause the smell to come back up into the house. It could also be that the water has a lot of sulfur in it. Well water can do that.

I have a strong septic tank odor at night at my house. I have noticed a little bit of the smell in my washer after I do laundry too. I know my septic tank is fine, just had it pumped a year ago. Any ideas?
