iloverusty, SoapNet went off the air, ABC pulled the plug on Dec. 31. So Directv had nothing to do with it.

For over the air broadcasts, I recommend a omni-directional amplified antenna that has at least 25db of gain. This eliminates the need for an antenna rotor to dial the antenna in for a certain station. I recommend that the antenna be at least 30 ft. above the ground if you live in an area that is surrounded by trees and hills.

I'm about the same way you can dowload tv on your computer or by rabbit jack but I haven't ever used it. I do how ever have Attenna myself that if I wanna watch something use this link and you will even find the latest movies good luck. http://www.alluc.com http://www.wannawatch.co there is no m in com for that last. Yes I know.

I use an antenna for local stations, the rest I stream from the computer.

Does anyone out there using an antenna. Cable has gone so high that I can't afford it. Don't get Direct TV they promise u one thing and do something else U never know what ur bill will be one month to another.I am paying for a lot of station I can get free . They even dropped SAOP one of my favorite channels. Please let me know if an antenna picks up in this area and the type of unit u bought.
