its nature and good luck controling it. to have luck with second water source to work you will have to empty the bird bath for a few days because they know water is there----won't look else where when they know----would u look else where. i mean it's like when u need gas,u know where to go.after 3-4 days refill bath, see what happens.if they find it again let it be or empty again for longer spell.unless bath is close to frequintly used area of home----let nature bee. i realy don't think the bees keep the birds from coming.it might be because if bath is sun its because water is to warm for thier liking. go ahead see if its to your liking.

There are so many bees in the hives that they will cover up many different water sources. The bees are traveling in many different directions. Bees will fly three miles any direction to find what they are looking for. Are they amazing or what.

Thanks for the advise. I will set up another watering pan that is closer to where I think they are coming from.

u sillys, all you have to do is make them another watering hole, they water at the nearest location from their hive, just put them a shallow container closer,u must have a hive pretty close.

When all the Bees die , we will follow soon after. Without bees pollinating, our crops cannot grow and there will be a worldwide famine.

Get another bird bath or something else to put water in for the birds in a different area. But keep watering the bees please

They are getting water and taking it to their home wherever it may be. They have the water on them in the tiny hairs and on their legs just as the carry everything else. When they get there they fan the water with their wings to cool the hive, the queen and other bees. This is their A.C.

I would NOT kill them. The birds will not go to it when it is full of bees. I have scrubbed it good the other day with a brush hoping this would help but they were back the next day. I guess I will have to live with them.

I live beside of probably 20 or more hives of honeybees. You can walk through my back yard without one wanting to check you out..I can't hang hummingbird feeders because there are soooo many bees. My uncle sells the honey so I leave em be. Honeybees are a dying out. We need them to make them tators grow,.

The bees are coming to your bird bath to drink water, they drink it as well as carry it back to the hive to help cool it down in the heat. Honey bees are a neccessacity to us. The birds, bees, and squirrels can all co exist with one another. We have honey bee hives and they love our pool. They arent aggresive just thirsty thats all. If you look close enough you can see thier little tongues lapping in the water.

I'd get rid of the birdbath if the bees are such a nuisance.

I'd much rather have the bees instead, without them, to help pollinate our crops and gardens we're pretty much outta luck.

Please help protect those honey bees. There are not enough of them we need them so I think you should let the bees remain. If the birds eat them I guess that's ok but you shouldn't poison them. Hmmmm both Major and downtheroad have this problem...
