just trim the bottom of the entrance with a sharp knife so instead of being a 4 inch step into the box its a 2 inch step

If your cat is to the point that she cannot easily use the litter box, perhaps it is time to consider giving her a humane exit from this world?

A ramp for a cat? Just a small piece of plywood, covered in carpet, should do. Why do you need gowilkes for that?

Has anybody ever made a ramp for their pet for easier access to the litter box? My cat has severe arthritis and needs some help. She is large, so a smaller box with lower edge will not do. I would love to make it out of stuff I have lying around at home. Any advice would be appreciated.
