Candystripe let the landlord take care of the repairs and let them foot the bill. Until then go and get you a space heater and heat the place.

Like Bushman said make sure you have a clean filter. I am suppose to change my filter every thirty days.

Thanks dj! I am going to try an A/C cycle now. It can't get any colder!

First thing always check the filter and replace.

Low Freon will do it, or your defrost switch may have gone bad. If it is the defrost switch you can run it through a air condition cycle and it will defrost, but will freeze back up when you cut the heat back on after while. If its the freon have some put in. If its the defrost switch that will cost you quite a few dollars.

I am having a heck of a week! First the truck and now the heat pump.

Why would a heat pump quit working and develop a layer of frost on it? Freon?

We now have no heat and I am CHILLY! Thank goodness for blankets!
