I second Fern Valley. The other local greenhouses are winding down right now, but Fern Valley still has a large inventory. The herb selection is really good and includes stuff like licorice basil, cinnamon basil, lemon basil, dill, catnip, oregano, Christmas basil, thyme, chocolate mint, and more. I wish that I could remember the entire list. BTW, do you cook with cinnamon basil or just grow it for the cinnamon fragrance?

The last time that I was there, they had some interesting container veggies. I'd never seen okra and eggplant that you can grow in a pot before!

There's a woman in Ferguson who grows a lot of vegetable, herb, and perennial flower plants. She's closing out tomato and pepper plants at a good price right now, and I heard her say that she'll be seeding fall veggies soon. I bought some pretty eggplants from her last weekend.

Green Valley Farms in Ronda/Clingman. Take the Somers Rd exit and make a left and it's about a mile on the left.
