you could rent a floor sander and sand it off. it would probably require changing the sanding pad often because it would fill up with the glue.

I have done this same thing many times for customers. You need a recipocating saw or better known as a saw zaw and get a blade at Lowes designed for it. The best blades are up at the commercial sales desk on a display rack. Have fun it is extremely hard. Whatever you do don't use chemicals to do it since your ventilation most of the time is not very good. You need excellent ventilation for this. Good Luck!!

Have a concrete basement floor and carpet has been removed and the glue remains. Need suggestions as what to use to remove the glue and go with another floor cover.
