Good suggestions! Thanks! I am not much for pastel either, especially against a backdrop of mulch!

this year i decided to add some beauty around my property. i already have some lovely trees and the standard daffodils, irises, and tulips. but i have started seeds for the following

foxglove, partial sun/shade
daisies, full sun
black eyed susans, full sun
hollyhocks, full sun
lavender, full sun
salvia, full sun
lobellia, full sun
poppies, full sun

there are more but i can't remember all of them

they are all reds, yellows, oranges, and purples. i was avoiding anything pastel.

Who's going to get out in the garden or flower bed this weekend and what are you going to plant? I plan to go to Midtown Market as soon as they open tomorrow. Any flower recommendations for either annuals or perennials that thrive in full sun? I want a LOT of color!!!
