I dried some Brandywine and yellow tomato and pepper seeds from my landlord's garden back in 2009. Did not think they would make it. Had them in baggies, in small jars, air tight, and labeled. I spread them out on moist paper towels and kept them moist. Some began to sprout! So I used some flat pans I no longer use to put them in some dirt and they began to come up! They have been up in my cabinet 4 1/2 years through extreme heat and some cold, etc but survived! They are what you call heirloom seeds. I spray them often with sometime rain water or vegetable water from where I cooked vegetables or boiled eggs, cooled down and mixed with tap water. So if you get the idea you can't save seeds from that far back so you gotta buy more, tell 'em they are wrong! .
