That happens to all cast iron kitchenware. Try getting it really hot then scrap it with a metal spatula or a knife

I have been told to take Baking Soda make a paste rub it in as best you can let it set than rinse...may have to do that a few times to remove the burnt area....I use it to clean the bottom of a pan when food gets burnt on the side or bottom////.. good luck...

Anyone burning pot needs their frying pan fixed, because I know you have the munchies and need something fixed to eat. Been a long time since I had any real good pot. I think it was Columbian Gold.

Going to buy a Coke today and Boil in the burnt pot for an hour and see what happens before I trash the pot. I just read some of all the uses for Coke. After reading that I don't think I will ever drink another coke.

To be such a Conservative now, Lord I was such a stoner. It's funny how life changes you. I'd never ever consider that now.

I burnt a lot of good pot back in the late 60's and early 70's . Some of it was made in Columbia and Mexico. Lord forgive me for my transgressions

This is an easy fix. Start a nice wood fire out side when it is roaring hot place the cast pot in the middle.

When the cast pot is glowing red and white remove it form the fire . let the cast pot cool till it is no longer glowing but is still hot.

coat the pot with shortening and it will be ready to go

Try google. I saved one by finding a link that told to boil a can of Coke (coca cola) in it. Voila--- it worked!!
