Ant terror is OK by it's self, but works better if you add a little bit of brown sugar to it. Just enough to attract the ants to come to it. The reason I say this is I have experienced that once the ants come to the terror one time, they do not come to it again when you have not killed the entire colony. Tried the brown sugar thing and I have not seen any ants in 2 months. Good Luck!

Terro is the best. I got that advice on here a couple of months ago and haven't seen a single ant in my home in weeks!

Essential Oil of Peppermint will keep them at bay. This is especially good if you want to treat places such as kitchen counter tops or have children around as it is completely safe. You need to apply more often than chemicals and it's only about 90% as effective as chemicals, but if you want to go green, definitely worth a shot. (Note, you need essential oil of peppermint, not peppermint oil (flavoring) from the grocery store which is severely dilute from what you need!)

Find some Nature's Guardian flea and tick spray for dogs, made out of natural ingredients you would find in your kitchen, by Sargeants. It kills them and keeps them away. Found it quite by accident one day. Works!

Terro is good. Also, if you don't have pets or small children to worry about, sprinkling Sevin Dust around the outside works.

I have those small ants and those big black ants taking over my kitchen! How do I stop them from coming in? I have tried to "keep from feeding them" but it's hard to keep food out of the kitchen! Please help! Thanks, God bless.
