The basic story line is that the Lords were jealous of Pandora being the one chosen to guard the box containing the demons even **** could not contain. So they were stupid, killed Pandora, and released the demons and of course the box disappears. As punishment for their crime, the gods used the Lords as vessels for the demons. Fast forward to present time. The lords are trying their best to find the box and alond the way meet their ladies. Yes, there are love scenes, but not constantly throughout the book. For the most part you have the lords struggling against their foes whether they're fighting those who wish them dead or the Titans who have taken over Olympus and set compulsions upon then to kill innocents. Lots of action in these books.

Is there real substance to the story, or is it mostly chic-porn with fangs?

The author is Gena Showalter and they are awesome books.

I stubled upon these books and LOVE them. There are the Lords of the Underworld Series by i believe Genoa Showater. They are so good.
