One of the all time best books. I also loved Summer Of The Monkeys by the same author. I wish they'd make really good movies of these two books and not the cheapo ones they have now.

I've read it several times in my life, and will probably read it a few more times throughout life.

Where the Red Fern Grows,Old Yellow and The Yearling are also tearjerkers. But really good classic reading

i just read the book it was so sad how they ended it who here has read it and thought it was pretty good
