You can probably get around 50 cents for the paperbacks or a quarter and $1 to 2 for hardbacks. When you advertise your yard sale do it here and paper put the name of your authors in ad. That way you will get people who want that author. I have always did bettter when I named the author and you have alot of ones people look for especially Nora Roberts, James Patterson and Sandra Brown. I have the authors together on here and sold them like I sold 11 Debbie MacComber for $6.

Do another post on here about selling your books like for a small bag of books lets say 6 you charge $5.00 a medium bag of books around 12 $10.00 and a large bag 18 for $ 15.00 dollars. if there are hardbacks they would be a little bit more but it will depend on the condition of them as well. Play with the numbers and see what would be fair to you if you were buying them.

My mother & I recently had a yard sale and charged a quarter each for paperback....and didn't sell but 3. I think we should have bagged them up like 10-12 per grocery bag and charged $1-$2 per bag.

Please help. I need to move books for my mother and I have no idea what to charge for them. She lives part time with my sister and part time with me. I have a storage bill to pay each month to store her stuff. Work has slowed and money is tighter so I need to squash the storage bill. She gave a lot of books to to library while living with my sister but I have a lot of them here. We wabt to sell them all so she can put the money towards new books and then she can just start trading them from now on. Iwould love to get her some new ones instead of looking through all the old ones trying to figure out if she has read before LOL LOL. Anyway how much do we charge? She has authors such as Daniel steele, ,mary higgins clarke, sandra brown,james patterson,nora roberts,patricia cornwell,jack higgins(and more but I see these names the most). Se has both the paperback and the hard back and what looks like around 200 plus books. I will yard sale this weekend or next. HOW MUCH DO WE CHARGE? Sorry for the long post and I apperciate your help in advance as I am clueless not a book reader for sure.
