Oh man! I freaking love this show!!!!!! Everything in my house comes to a halt when it comes on. A coworker of mine has books and all and she kind of knows what's coming up and has promised not to tell me....but she was very mad yesterday and did say that Laurie was not supposed to die yet, according to the original storyboards.
I am curious as to where Carol is, too. Will she show up in the next episode as a zombie? Or will she make it out on her own. I have been told that the prison stay will not end well for the group.
And did anyone else notice that the Gov did not mention what became of his daughter???? He only said his wife died in a car accident......is his daughter being kept as some kind of "pet"......

When a zombie bites a victim, the victim contracts a deadly illness, ultimately resulting in the victim's death and reanimation. Zombie scratches can also infect a victim with a deadly illness. It seems that while the nature and potency of illness resulting from a zombie attack varies somewhat on a case-by-case basis, all infections are untreatable and always deadly. Symptoms of infection:EditFeverChillsHallucinationsVomitingPale skinDeliriumSoreness (e.g. Jim in the TV Series episode, "Wildfire")Fluid discharge The only way a victim can survive a zombie bite/scratch is to quickly amputate the part of the body that has been affected. The length of time that an amputation must be performed in to successfully save a victim from the illness taking hold is unknown, and seems to vary based on the circumstances of the situation. In the comic book, Dale is the only character known to have survived this process while both Morgan Jones and Allen died of either blood loss, bacterial infection or clots (unknown due to a constant lack of professional opinion). In the TV series, Hershel Greene is bitten on the leg by a zombie in the first episode of season three. Attempting to save Hershel's life, Rick amputates Hershel's leg, and it is later revealed that Hershel survives the event.
I found this......

It kind of bugs me too. I think it is like snake venom. It will eventually kill and they have no anti-venom

Infection from the bite is what kills them when they are bitten. It usually takes days for them to die if they are bitten. |
Yeah, but infection of what? It can't be the same zombie virus, if they're already infected. Is it a second type of unknown bacteria? Or is it just a regular old staph infection? They obviously have antibiotics, since they saved Carl after getting shot in the chest with a high-power rifle and Hershel (who I hate) after cutting off his legs. Hasn't it crossed any of their minds to try to treat the bite with an antibiotic? I know, this is just a plot hole that I'm pointing out, so I'll shut up now. It's just been bugging me.

Spoiler alert for those who want to read the comics in the future....don't read if you don't want to know what happens in the comic.
I don't think this is a really a spoiler since it can't happen this way on the show now, but yes Lori and the baby died weeks after it was born from a zombie attack. They were eaten in front of Rick.

Maybe their decaying mouths have a bacteria that kills within hours?

The zombie bite still kills them. I think they live a matter of hours with a bite.

There's a bit of logic with this show that I don't get.
Presumably, everyone is already infected with the virus. At least, that's what the CDC guy said, and that's supposed to explain why they come back regardless of how they die.
If that's the case, then why would a bite from a zombie be relevant? They're already infected, so they can't be double-infected.

I'm glad Lori died, she was a sk*nk that flaunted her rear in all the mens faces. Rick will have to breast feed the baby.

Poor Lori. I kept expecting Michael Scofield to pop out of a sewer duct and rescue her.

I started wondering if Carl really shot his mom & she will reappear later as a walker. I wasn't a big fan of Lori's but I didn't want her to die. I also cried watching her tell Carl bye. That was some of Lori's best acting.
Seeing Rick break down was really sad. I don't think he will bond with the baby. I'm wondering how it will be fed...can't wait until next Sunday night!

I thought that the young black guy that was a prisoner from the beginning of this season, was actually attacked by Zombies when Rick chased him through the prison and he escaped out that door and Rick closed it so he could not reenter.
