I hope she is for Damon! I think Phoebe/Ian would have great chemistry.

Phoebe Tonkin, aka Fay? I thought she was for Tyler? I read she was a wolf from his past that he met back when he was trying to break Klaus' sire bond. I figured she would cause Caroline/Tyler angst and open up space to explore Caroline/Klaus.

I believe Rebekah will get with Matt, the only human left. They are bringing a girl on the show for Damon. Did you ever watch the Secret Circle? The mean witch is coming to TVD. I don't know what her name was.

So, I just watched Beauty and the Beast. Much, much better than the promos. I'm not sure how good of a fit it is with Vampire Diaries. I can see how they both have that romantic, angsty element. But, if B&B gets a season 2, I'd like to see it paired with Nikita, or if the CW decides to launch something else out of Vampire Diaries, such as Cult (a midseason series starring Matt Davis, formerly of TVD) on Thursdays. B&B would be a much better companion to Nikita than America's Next Top Model.
As far as TVD goes, if they're going to insist on Season 4 of the Stelena show, I wish they would let Damon have a romance of his own. And, I'm not talking like that news reporter, who was never a real love for him. Maybe bring Katherine back, or rekindle his steamy hookups with Rebekah. I just want to see him do something other than pine for a girl who, as of right now, doesn't want him.

My favorite show too. And I actually love Klaus. But I also wish they kept Elena human. I didn't like when she attacked Damon. Athough I did like Katherine.

The fans must have liked the decision to make Elena a vampire because the ratings were stellar last night (by CW standards). 3.18 million viewers and a 1.6 in the demo, which matched Last Resort on ABC and actually beat 30 Rock on NBC. The ratings were in the 2.5 million-ish range at the end of last season, so, well done, Vampire Diaries!
One thing I'm looking forward to is a small spoiler: Apparently, Elena doesn't take to Stefan's bunny diet too well. If you have a weak stomach, I might recommend avoiding that episode (I think it's the next one).

I love the Vampire Diaries, in fact it is my favorite show, but I do wish that they would've left Elena human.

I've never read that, Fins, but considering it's based on a series of young adult books and airs on the CW, it's clear it's geared towards a younger audience. But, that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed by people of all ages, especially when the subject matter is more mature than, say, 90210.

Do yall know that the creators of this show have said it was intended for teenage girls?

Not when Alaric was using them as his meat suit...sorry, typing Matt Davis' name made me think of Alaric. I meant when KLAUS was using Tyler and Alaric as his meat suits. there.

It's not that I don't like Klaus, I just don't like Joesph Morgan's interpretation. I loved what Michael Trevino and Matt Davis did when Alaric was using them as -- to borrow a term from Dean Winchester -- his meatsuit. But, there's something about Morgan that comes across as very childish. I've always thought of Klaus as being menacing and evil (which he was when Trevino and Davis played him). I mean, KATHERINE is afraid of him and that girl fears nothing, but I don't really get why anyone would be. There's just something unsettling about the thought of a 1000 year old vampire mooning after a teenage girl and drawing her pictures of ponies that just doesn't sit right with me. Much too close to the Edward Cullen end of the vampire spectrum for my taste. Except, he doesn't sparkle and his brother, Elijah, is the definition of awesome.

Lol... You don't like Klause? Yeah, I don't like Elena being vampire either, I think that's what is going to break the show

I DVRed Beauty and the Beast. I was a big fan of the original (which is available on Netflix, I believe), and I've never cared for the reboot's lead actress, but I wanted to see how the ratings went before I gave it a shot. I plan on watching it sometime this weekend. It's gotten solid reviews, so it has that going for it.
The Secret Circle suffered from bad pacing and disjointed writing. I'm ashamed Kevin Williamson's name was attached to it. The best thing about that show was Phoebe Tonkin, who's joining the cast of TVD this season.

I'm still not sure how I feel about the decision to make Elena a vampire (considering John died to make sure she stayed human in the Season 2 finale), but I loved the idea of making Caroline a vampire. She's my favorite on the show and I hope she stays with Tyler and not Mr. Whiny Pony-Drawing Original.

Did you watch Beauty and the Beast. It seemed pretty good but I'm not too into the investigations. I didn't like The Secret Circle. I'm glad they put something else in it's place. Such bad actors on that show.

The show is better than the books. Too many things happened in the books after the 2nd one. It was hard to keep up.
