If you liked the Twilight Saga try the Southern Vampire series that the HBO special True Blood is from. I went through all nine books in six weeks and just waiting for number ten to come out in Oct.

I got all of my books from Rhodes book store in N. Wilkesboro near the library. They were a good price too compared to the prices I had seen else where.

I learned a valuable lesson with the Twilight books. Buy them when you find them because they may not be there when you go back. I loved all of them, can't wait for the next movie.

I agree with kne52903 I read Twilight it was not great but was not bad either. I struggled to read New Moon everyone told me it would get better because I said I found it boring. I am currently trying to finish Eclipse while I find it better than New Moon I still am struggling to get it completed. Everyone has there own taste in books. My daughter loved this series as for me I think it just isn't my thing. My daughter swears by Breaking Dawn so we will see. I will finally get the series read one day hopefully. I read them just to see what all the talk was about. Great for teenagers to read just not me.

I respect that Twighlight isn't for everyone...I was just wondering what it was that HeltonNative hated so much. Just curiousity. I didn't like Harry Potter, when everyone in the free world seems to. So I expected not to like Twighlight, but I did. Just different opinions, that's all.

My daughter recently read all 4 in less than 2 weeks. Like the Harry Potter phenomena before it, the books have generated interest for people that usually don't read. So love it or hate it, anything that inspires people to read is good. We all have our opinions and likes/dislikes; just look at how many different books/authors/genres are available at book outlets like BN and Amazon. Just read what you like to read. People shouldn't pass judgement on others enjoyment. Just don't read it. Most people jump on the critic bandwagon when they misunderstand what a book is all about (like many did with Harry Potter). A lot of people passed judgement without even reading Harry Potter. Even though I don't care for some writing styles personally doesn't mean I don't respect the opinions and rights of other readers to disagree..

"You read Twighlight and you can't think of ANYTHING good to say?? What is it that you so strongly dislike?"

I honestly have nothing good to say about it.

Plot, characters, writing style, etc. Every aspect of it annoyed me.

I will give you that they aren't the most well written books, but she makes up for her downfalls as a writer by being a good story-teller.

I have nothing good to say about Twilight.

I'll be glad when the public becomes fixated on another phenomenon.

Flame on.

I just got through reading Breaking Dawn just a few minutes ago. I'm not a reader AT ALL but I flew through all of the books in three weeks. The movie helped me put faces with everyone and made the books better I thought. When I first started on Breaking Dawn I got a little creeped out but only because I'm pregnant, I think. These books are awsome! I cried on the last two chapters.
