I didn't start a thread asking opinions on my favorite books. The OP did.

Uh.... no. Books can be of high quality and still be different.

I love a good vampire story as much as the next person. Notice I said a good vampire story. To be rather blunt, I feel that Twilight is a very poorly written book, and I regret ever picking it up.

It's great we all have different tastes and that's why there are literally 1,000's of authors and books.

I'm ready New Moon now as well as Pride and Prejudice (via dailylit.com).

That is why we have some us read to use our imagination and some have none.

Some of us read quality literature.

Some prefer 500 pages of garbage.

Just finished Twilight and loved it. It took a few chapters to get going but once it did I was hooked.

Everyone has differing tastes which is why there are so many authors... I loved and read all of the Twilight books. Host, written by the same author, is good also. Took a while for me to get into Host, but once I was, I enjoyed it to the end.

After seeing and hearing all the hype, I finally had to see what it was all about.

It is, by far, the worst book I've ever encountered.

I am baffled at how it has become this popular.

Just finished the first one last night and didn't get a chance to go to walmart for the second. I will be wide awake tonight wishing I had it. Puts me in a fantasy world. I like it.
