McConaughey is a southern gentleman. He is constantly harrassed in Hollywood for allowing his dog to run about off lead....catch to that is, his dawg is better behaved than most children. Never saw a movie or even a video (he was in Jamie Johnsons' playing the part country video) that he didn't give his all to. His work is unique and the boy ain't bad on the eyes either.

Im pretty sure the filming of the series was after his performance in the Dallas Buyers Club which he played an Aids patient. After watching him in that movie & his interviews of everything he did to his body to look the way he did its amazing that it didn't kill him. Hes a far cry from Magic Mike he starred in but after watching that movie he looks a lot more healthy now even tho he is a drunk trying to drink himself to death. So far each episode gets better & I look forward to the next.

I think I know what you are talking about. I thought maybe it was intentional with his character struggling on the edge of alcoholism and other things

Yes. I'm not sure if this was filmed during or not long after his movie role (AIDS)

He is a good actor and I have not seen that show other than the previews so maybe he looks like that to fit the part? I don't know just guessing. What is his role in the show? The previews looked interesting.

The interview scenes are about 10 years after the case. I'm only three episodes in, but it's clear he has had some sort of or something during the time between the case and the interview

I'm watching the first episode and Matthew McConaughey looks like he's been riding the H train.
He looks really strung out.....
