Man....I read allot but I do n't think I have ever read even one of these books!!!! Need to get busy!!!

I've read ten of them, including my favorite book of all time, The Great Gatsby. I'm about to start reading Revolutionary Road, before I see the movie, and that will make 11.

But the list is bogus. No Of Mice and Men? No Flowers for Algernon? No Call of the Wild? Great Expectations? Come on...Grapes of Wrath is not Steinbeck's best!!

I've only read five from the list, but I have seen alot of the movies.

I hate to admit this, but I have only read 3 of them. I HAVE seen a lot more of the movies made from them, though. I have seen 23 of the top 100 movies. I guess that in spite of being a voracious reader, I am more of a movie watcher!

I find it hard to believe at least one Ayn Rand novel didnt make it on the list.
I don't think "The sound and the fury" should be on there either. I like most of Faulkner's other stuff but I mean come on, it's a difficult read. Sure I know it's written in stream of conciousness and one of the narrators is mildly retarded but still, it's hard to really sink your teeth into it. Just my 2 cents

I've read about 20 from that list. I think John Steinbeck's "East of Eden", should have been included.

I read 18 and Animal Farm and Gone with the Wind was my favorite but I still enjoy the more up to date books. I can't beleive HUckleberry Finn or Tom Sawyer wasn't on there I loved them.

Here is a list of books for all time.
I found I haven't read that many to me personaly I find most dry and boring. I like to read to relax and get away for a while.
