Some of the best books that you can read to little kids and toddlers would have to be the Dr. Seuss books. There are a few of them that aren't very good, but there are others that are great, like "Hop on Pop" and "One Fish Two Fish". The "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you See" is another really good book. My kids love "I'll love you forever" (as do I!!!).

I know that it is sometimes hard to find a place to get books that are good for kids. My library doesn't have much selection, so I looked online, and I found a great place to buy great toddler books. There are reviews and summaries of the books too, so you can find just what you want!

That is a great book list MLA!. I am going to print it off and save it until I have grandchildren. I remember reading many of these titles to my kids. Two I would add are: Where the Wild Thing Are and Danny the Dinosaur.

My son loved " The Remarkable Farkle McBride" by John Lithgow. He has written several books that we loved to read but Farkle is a great place to start.

The David Books. Like "No David!", " David's in Trouble" Those have really bright colorful pages and my kids loved them.

Books by Doreen Cronin are great - "Click, Clack Moo Cows that Type" and "Duck for President". She has several books. Books by Mo Willems are great for that age as well. My personal favorite is Make Way for Ducklings by Robert McCloskey. Any book is well worth the time. Reading to them at this age will help them to be better readers later on.

CURIOUS GEORGE!!!! There are also many "Golden Books" that have vibrant illustrations and good stories (I'm looking at YOU, "Scrawny Tawny Lion").

There is a good selection of kids books at Rhodes Bookstore; it's where I got all my books when I was a kid.

When my daughter was little, we found "Danny the Dinosaur". It was simple and she learned the words as we read it over and over and I pointed at the words. It was a cute book. I don't know if you can find it now, but take a look.

I think that the curious George books were great also books by Jillian Harker.

A big fat book of short nursery rhymes is unbeatable :)

Hop on Pop by Dr Seuss is probably the easiest to read of his books.

yup.

Any Dr Seuss, but especially the ones with lots of pictures.
Good night Moon
Walmart has a decent selection of 1st reader books that my goddaughter loves, (she is 4) and helping her learn faster.
Also got her the TAG system and she loves that as well.
So glad you are aware kids love to learn and will love books if you let them.

My daughter always loved the Berenstain Bear books. When she was smaller, I would read the ones that were short and was the lowest reading level. We kept going up in levels as she grew and read the longer stories. To be honest, I like the Berenstain Bears pretty good myself !!! LOL !!

My kids loved the the Eric Carle books and of course Dr. Suess. Some Dr. Suess are better than others. I really like the "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie" books...there are a few, like "moose a muffin" and "pig a party". Those are cute and fun to read.
