Just keep watching. Everything explains itself. Personally, season 2 and 4 are my favorites, but I love all episodes.

So I'm watching the first episode and rick wakes up from a coma in the hospital. What I don't get is how he stayed alive? When he finds the black guy and his son he says the gas lines have been down for a month.

Also the flowers are dried up and dead, how did he not dehydrate and die?

The IV's wouldn't have lasted that long? Was the hospital still operational after the outbreak?

Thoughts?
