Did that happen to another guy or did Hollywood throw that in there for added graphics?

He took shrapnel in the left thigh, got a broken nose and three cracked vertebrae from the multiple falls he took, and was shot in the upper left leg from behind. Oh, and he also received a big gash across his forehead in one of the falls.

You can't walk on a compound fracture.

Then it's not accurate.

As far as i know sir its accurate. I do know that Luttrell co directed this movie right along with Mark Walberg. Luttrell said in one of the interviews that he wanted to make this movie as real and accurate as possible. That scene about the compound fracture did happen in the movie but i do not know if that happened in the actual fire fight or not.

I finished Luttrell's book last night. He was a little long winded on BUD/s (basically half the book), but I cried when I got to the part where the navy notified the family he was safe. But as for the movie, someone told me there is a scene where one of the guys gets up and runs with a compound fracture, after pushing the bone back into his leg. If that's true, it kills the accuracy of the movie. I want to see it, but hope Hollywood didn't get out of line with some of those details

That movie is by far the best movie yet and the sequence of events is right on target!!!
