I liked that chicken head shot, that's about it.

I thought Two Guns was not bad. It was a mindless shoot me up with some unrealistic parts, but expecting that going in, it was ok

I read the book and recognized the propaganda aspects of the movie. I even whispered to my wife when the bulls hit parts were. I have had a compound fracture of my femur and my tibula. There was now way he would have walked/limped with those injuries. The strafing scene was another bulls hit moment.
I suspend my disbelief when I go to movies...especially when they are " based on true events".

I am informed, but I still enjoyed it...maybe because I lower my expectations, and escape.

Prisoners is a whole different subject.

Let me explain to some of you the problem with the inaccuracies in the movie Lone Survivor. If the movie was just sold as a fictional action flick, fine, it would be a fun film. Although, it would have had some plot holes, such as how nothing in the village was explained. But, as a true story it's a red blood gung-ho propaganda piece. Marcus's story reveals we have two flaws in our culture regarding the military. One being the left wing section that puts the lives of anyone else above our service men. They put dangerous rules on our military and will persecute our troops at the slightest violation of those rules.

The other side being the "support our troops" right wing segment that is wants to send them in to kill everyone and let god sort out the bodies. Last night while watching the movie, I witnessed one idiot actually cheer when the gunship opened up on the village. There was no way to separate which fighters were Taliban and which were fighting to protect Marcus. But the gunship open fired and mowed the all down. And someone cheered, not caring that those ****s are human beings. This segment of our society is willing to send our military any where with a testosterone filled attitude like its a game of call of duty.

People should know the true story. The whole story. Not the jazzed up, God Bless the USA propaganda.

Have any of you folks saw Murph The Protector? It did not get a lot of reviews.

It sucks because it's inaccurate. It strays very far from Marcus's story. Especially the part about his time in the village and the villagers protecting him. He was there for five days. There was no battle in the village, because the Taliban knows they can't break the ancient Pashtuni laws without turning the remote villages against them. With that, I have a very huge problem with the air cover flying in and shooting up everyone in the village.

Also, the man that found Marcus was a doctor. He removed the shrapnel and treated Marcus's wounds. Also, as for his wounds, he did not have a compound fracture like in the movie, and he was only shot once.

Marcus did not code on the table like the opening scene of the movie.

Sorry Phil. My opinion that the movie sucked is actually because I am informed and do get out.
