i was in foster care, this is a great book and so are his othe books, i have them all

read the book it was heart breaking to think that really happens to children and I think he is a hero for moving on with his life as he has.

I read all three, A Child Called It twice. they're all great but I think A Child Called It might be the worst. need to go back and read the others again.
It's a good book, and made me cry.

This case was bad but are you aware that this was not the worst case of child abuse in California at the time?I think it was considered like the 3rd worst case.

Also he wrote another book "The Privilege of Youth" in 2004 which is a good book also.

I own all three of them....so sick and disgusting....but so sad and i couldnt put the books down! I truely recommend all adults to read all three books!!! It really makes you think twice about a lot of things in life!

I read this several years ago and it was great...I cried though the whole thing.

OMGosh!!!! I just bawled when my daughter brought that book home to read to me..it was horrendously sad :( Bless his heart. And to think that that actually happened. How horrible.

it was so disturbing, its so hard to believe anyone could put a child thorough that kind of abuse.

It was VERY difficult for me to read. Dave Pelzer is a very courageous man to be able to write about his life so honestly.

Yes, I have read it and yes, it was very heart-breaking. Especially considering it was what really happened to this man.
