I dont know man. For me it was probably the most touching scene in the movies. His hands really were tied and the tears in his eyes. Even for a guy thats heartbreaking.

True, but I would say that Woodrow Call was no friend of Jake Spoon. Especially considering that they bedded the same wh*re in Comanche Moon and either of them could have been Newt's father. Woodrow loved Maggie but could never admit it while Jake just saw her as another wh*re.

Also, consider that Jake spurred his own horse out from under him. Im not sure if his friends would have had the heart to really hang him.

Jake spoon was a ranger who always fell in with the wrong crowd.he was always the victim .gus and the captain had to kill him.i do think when jake could not remember lori s name gus killed him more for her than the law

For those who have seen Lonesome Dove or read the novel I couldnt help but feel like Jake Spoon got a bad shake. I mean he pretty much didnt have a choice throughout the whole ordeal. If he had tried to interfere he would have just been killed because the bad guys were already suspicious of him. Tell me what you guys think.
