Depends on what exactly they like.

If it's for a girl between that age Lurlene McDaniel has a lot of great books that deal with real life situations. Some are very sad but I still love to read them and I'm 33 years old now. I found my first book when I was 13. I also like the Stephanie Myers Books. Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse, the last in the series will be come out at the first of august now this does have to do with Vampires and werewolves but she writes a really great book.
