For those of you that have daughters, or just like to read about a woman in the lead role, I think you'll love her books. She's got a ton of things out there that she's written - all of it great. I don't like to collect a ton of books at home because of space issues, but I have to brag I own every single one of her books - that she's ever written. My favorite set - and if you were a Harry Potter fan or want something along those lines of young adults discovering themselves, then you'll want to pick up the four books that make up her "The Circle of Magic" set. The first one is called Sandry's Book.
There are two other 4 book sets BASED AROUND that original 4 book set. (Although I don't think you'd be lost if you didn't.) The next set (Magic Steps, first book in The Magic Opens set) picks up these same four wizard student a few years later and they all set off on a wonderful adventure, although each are alone in some ways but connected. The writing is from their individual adventures.
She is an author that likes to write books that are spread out over 4 books. I like that a lot because when I get "Into it!!" there's nothing more dissapointing than realizing it's over. So you can bet she's a crowd pleaser.

Start off with those and you'll be like me... scouring Ebay and Amazon for all of her books! Our library has quite a few too, I went to make sure because I would have bought them otherwise! They are so wonderful.
