we eat at wendys, where roland works...ha ha ha. My favorite would be Jake, and Roland. I kinda fell in love when I read these books...one of my favorite scenes is the ride on Blaine. Hubby thinks that Suzannah, and the baby were wasted pages...the book would have been much better with out the baby.

LOL. I always think of Roland when I drive to Charlotte! I've never stopped there...where do you eat?
I see DT stuff everywhere I go.
Who was your favorite character? Mine is Eddie Dean.
Long days and pleasant nights...

Sportsmom, the 7th book is indeed the last in the series, if that answers your question. And I agree that you should start at the beginning. Hey, maybe we can all get together and have Tower Junkie meetings! LOL!

I am reading Duma Key now and I swear I have seen this story somewhere before. I may have seen it on a tv show. I am not sure. It just came out so I couldn't have read it and forgotten. The only thing I can think of is that he had an exerpt of it in one of his last books and I read a couple of chapters. Does anyone remember if that is correct? I think the last book I read of his was Lisy's Story.

It and the Dark Tower Series. I havn't read the last ones in the Dark Tower Series, I've got to check them out. Does anyone know if the last one out ends it? He took so long in putting them out I sort of lost interest. Guess I need to go back and start over so that they will make sense but I don't won't to do that if he hasn't finished it. I read "It" while I was pregnant with my first child, 17 years ago, and my now ex said that I was scaring her in the womb. It scared the === out of me!

I really enjoyed Firestarter and Carrie. The books gave so much detail and a shock quality that the producers of the film were never able to reach.

Calla, if you enjoyed Salem's Lot then you should definitely read the Dark Tower Series. Father Callahan has a big part in book 5 and 6. And you get to find out what happened to him after the incidents in Salem.
