has some really good tips for getting the name of your book in front of folk's peepers. Also, you might want to check out Writers Digest. You can find them in most book stores, you can follow them on facebook and I believe they have a Twitter page (though I've been resisting the urge to tweet thus far successfully so I don't have any first hand knowledge of this.) They have a lot of good tips not just for writing but for marketing as well and they have an annual POD contest you might want to check out.

Also, I don't know if you've ever been to www.webook.com, but I've been a member for a year and developed friendship with writers from all over the globe who have been invaluable to me as editors/contacts. One member of our group, Jan Edmonds, recently published her book Dream Painter (http://www.heartsonfirebook...) and is being actively pursued by publishers for her second. So it's a good place to meet folk.

Hello to all in the gowilkes.com area. My name is Betty, and I'm trying desperately to succeed in the literary world. My mother was born in Laurel Springs, NC and lived in Wilkesboro. So I am quite familiar with the area. My second novel, Where Gabriel's Trumpet Sounds, actually begins in the little town of Laurel Springs. I would love to come back to the area for a booksigining.
