Did they bring back the Hitler Salute or are they still doing the hand over heart thing? Used to be a Hitler Salute, but those durn Commies had to go and wreck our nice pledge and salute. Makes a person yearn for the good old days!

AGAIN??
« Index of Historic Documents The Pledge of AllegianceThe Pledge of Allegiance was written in August 1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy (1855-1931). It was originally published in The Youth's Companion on September 8, 1892. Bellamy had hoped that the pledge would be used by citizens in any country. In its original form it read: "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all." and the link http://www.ushistory.org/do...pledge.htmNow tell us who decided they knew better than a socialist minister?

"Under God" was only added in the 1950's. Since this show (that I hadn't even heard of until now) is supposed to be far in the future, it makes sense to assume that it will have been removed by then.
CW isn't exactly known for their political statements. Under age drinking on every episode, sure, but not politics! LOL
I'm betting, though, that they left it off to get some free publicity.
