have not read these, but jean johnson is an author I like to read. Have you tried the local librar?

Into the second book (of 8) for anyone that likes fantasy, (magic, alternate universe, shape changing), this is a great series so far. The author does a bit of repeating in the second book, but that I think is so that the reader can catch up if they haven't read the first one.
