I loved "Secret Life of Bees"! I've not seen the movie, I didn't think it would compare with the book. Has anyone read "The Mermaid Chair"? I beleive it is supposed to be the sequel to Secret Life.

i watched the movie and did not really like it. But seeing this i think i will read the book!

I loved the book too and I have seen the Movie and I guess it's pretty good but it does not come close to the book. A lot of stuff was left out of the movie. If I hadn't already read the book I probably would have like the movie more. It was just a let down for me.

I looooved it...wonderful book....I know the movie probably will not be as good...but with the wonderful actress'es that are in it, it has got to be really really close....can't wait to see it.

has anyone read the book, secret life of bees by sue monk. its really good.
