The name Easter comes from a pagan figure called Eastre (or Eostre) who was celebrated as the goddess of spring by the Saxons of Northern Europe.

All these "Christians" celebrated the goddess of spring. So I guess they broke one of their 10 commandments.

it wasn't witches who put the xrist on the cross, it was his own brethren and church leaders....

Easter is a pagan holiday by origin.....I doubt it was intentional though

It's DVRed and I'll probably still watch it, I just thought the timing felt an awful lot like a statement. Or a publicity stunt.

Does anyone else think it's kind of in poor taste for a show about the witches of Salem to have their season premier on Easter?
