nook or kindle

I have a kindle and I love it. Amazon is doing much better as a company so I think the Kindle is a safer bet than a nook. I researched both when I bought almost two years ago and I chose the Kindle because of several factors...the most important one that the Kindle has text to speech which means it will read out loud for you. The voice is robotic but you get used to it. I use that to help me concentrate better and also when I am doing housework or driving. I am like you and use mostly free books. Amazon gives away 100s and I have bought very few over the past couple of years.

Also, Amazon customer service is awesome. I have had to replace mine and all I did was call them and they sent me one immediately. I got it the next day. They then gave me 30 days to return the damaged one. Sometimes they will even let you keep the damaged one. I don't think they do this much anymore but they used to do it quite often. They are just a great company and a pleasure to deal with.

I want to buy an e book reader. I would like to hear any pro and cons everyone has on the kindle and the nook simple touch. I will be getting mostly free books, and want to borrow books from the library on which ever I decide to get. Please give in put I am very confused about which to get.
Thank You
