I've read it and I learned alot of interesting facts. It's written as a novel, but is based on historical research. The first part of the book is the story and the last part tells about the research. It's really good. My Mom has an autographed copy

Has anyone read this book written by a physician who has a family practice in Alexander County? I'm not trying to get people to buy, I'm posting a link to this site because there is a bio of the author as well as a description of the book. It's a fascinating read.
