Betty Hudson is an excellent writer who I know personally. She lives in Garden City, SC. Her mother was my neighbor in Wilkesboro before she died. She has published The Bet (revised to Bet by Betrayal), Where Gabriel's Trumpet Sounds, which I have read and had a hard time putting down, and Dance of Desires (which I have not started yet). a friend of mine let me read a book by Betty Hudson called THE BET. It was a very interesting book about a couple who is being having their marriage put to the test. the author is from tennessee and puts lots of places from NC in the books such as, Sparta, Boone, Mrytle Beach SC and Charleston SC.
