You're right, it HAS changed and doesn't seem to be for the better. Thanks for the info, but I believe I'll remember it as it was

Yes, Grit is still being published, but not as you may remember it. These days, it's in magazine format as a rural lifestyles publication from Ogden Publications (who are also now the owners of Mother Earth News). The Ogden magazines are rather like Reiman Publications' Country Woman and Taste of Home. For more info, go here: http://www.grit.com/

Do they still publish the GRIT paper?

My mother used to read a magazine called True Crime, I think that was the name of it.

Southern Living, Ladies Home Journal, US News and Report, Forbes and Readers Digest.

Radio Giant - read you like weekend getaways. We do also. Have you been to Edenton,NC? We went there 2 weeks ago and it is a beautiful historic town. Saw it on UNC Public TV and had to visit. Worth a trip if you enjoy history. Also there is a great bed and breakfast, The Pack House Inn, which is wonderful. Just thought I would mention it.

I like Our State too, I also look through Vegetarian Times, but haven't tried any recipe's yet, some of the ingredients are things I have never heard of before.

My wife and I love to travel on short day trips or weekend getaways. So we never miss Our State, WNC, Blue Ridge Magazine, and many of the smaller publications about the mountains.

I am a music lover and audio "nerd", so I read Stereophile, The Absolute Sound, Sound and Vision, Hi Fi+ (a British magazine), and most anything else I can get my hands on.

I'm also a fan of radio and communications, so I read Radio World, Monitoring Times, Popular Communications and others.

I love computers and technology, so I read Maximum PC, CPU, Smart Computing and others.

And I'm a news junkie, so I read Newsweek, US News, Time, etc.

I also am constantly reading mysteries. As you may be able to tell, I love to read!
