I'm reading "U is for Undertow". Anyone else?

Radio, I started reading it two nights ago. It is so good to go back to Kinsey's life. Have you noticed how she stays the same age and we get old. She is 38 now. I remember when I first started reading her I was in my early twenties and thought she was old.

Something bothered me last night when I was reading and I wondered if you noticed it. When the guy first goes into her office to hire her she seems more greedy than usual. She says to him up front..."It will cost ya." I don't remember her acting that way previous books. Also she charged him 500 an hour plus expenses. Isn't that a little high for a PI back in 1988? I don't know why that struck me as odd, but it did.

I still want to read it. I am so behind on books though.

I'm reading the new Sue Grafton installment in the "letter" series: "U is for Undertow". I've read all the others, in order.

Anyone else reading this?
