Has anyone read The Politician or Game Change yet?

I just finished The Politician. All I can say after reading this is I'm glad John Edwards DID NOT become the most powerful man in the FREE WORLD! If he had gained the White House I fear we would be in more trouble than anyone could bail us out of! And St. Elizabeth is exposed for a controlling, vindictive shrew that would do whatever needed doing to assure her husband would win the election. She makes Hillary look like a schoolgirl!

Primary Colors had a anonymous Author but the next year he stated he was the Author. I don't remember his name now but everyone in Politics knew it was him.

Game Change is PHENOMENAL ...

great job on being even handed with both parties and all candidates, best "insider" book I've ever read .... I've also been a fan of the authors John Heileman and Mark Halperin for years ... (you've read Primary Colors years ago I take? If not, you'll love it. Based on the Clinton's campaign in 92, Emma Thompson, John Travolta, Billy Bob Thornton, Kathy BAtes were in the movie.

the Clintons were especially fascinating, as was the final "redemption" as she and Obama made peace, I've have a new found respect for her in addition to my admiration of her work as Secy of State

Sarah Palin .... on one hand I shutter that she might've been VP ... on the other there's a LOT to her I hadn't given her credit for and McCain's people treated her shamelfully, except for McCain himself who never criticized her and was the consumate gentleman

McCain .... I've always loved him, his time to be pres was 2000 though .... you kinda sit on the fence till you get to the section on the financial meltdown where it was evident everyone from Bush on down thought he was out to lunch .... (Bush, btw, is a truly good man and was very helpful to Obama and is surprisingly close to Bill Clinton)

Obama .... too complex to go into here .... I do think we would have entered a financial meltdown of cataclysmic proportions had he and Bush not browbeat everyone into the bailout

Pelosi / Reid .... every bit as moronic, self-serving, and party over country hacks as you already thought.

John Edwards gives scum a bad name. However vile you thought it was, he's worse. Saint Elizabeth is a psycho and has been since law school. PSYCHO. I do feel sorry for the cancer and John truly devesated her with the affairs: she's still nuts though. Btw, I know several people in Raleigh who were part of that social set and they swear John's propensity for affairs has always been well known and no one was conceive of Elizabeth not being aware.

These are on my list of "wanna reads" and was hoping some of you could give me some feedback on them. Depending on your opinions will decide if I purchase them or wait online to borrow them from the library.
