I am almost finished, it has been slow reading. It's one of those books that I have had to stop and read back over a lot. It sure does make you think about some things in life.

Well I'm half way through it now and I am disappointed in it. It makes you think about some things, but I'm not blown away like peeps have made it out to be.

My dad loved it and recommended it to my grandfather, who was a minister for over 40 years. Daddy walked in one day after giving the book to my grandpa and daddy saw him crying. My grandpa is 92 and said other than the Bible it was the best book he has ever read. Trust me that says alot and is enough for me. Im going to buy it and read it.

I'm over halfway through it and have had my heart stepped on by how much hidden sin it has uncovered in my life. It has also given me a new understanding and insight on God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit and I can now relate to them within my human mind and on a more personal basis.
A HIGHLY recommended read for everyone!!!!

I found The Shack to be a very moving book. I am a Christian and while one has to keep in mind it is fiction, it gives one great insight to forgiving others and how to relate to The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit. We are so used to putting them in a little box, mostly due to what we have been taught. I recommend it to any and everyone. God Bless All!

I really liked the book it talked about where was God when something horrific was happening to someone. He was right there with the person. It really opened my eyes to forgivness too as mentioned in other posts. I passed it on to a big black woman friend of mine... for those of you who read the book you will bet that one. I think God is who we need Him to be and also there when we need Him.

I read The Shack and I loved it. My daughter is reading it now. I found it very insightful, and not at all sacreligious (sp). I think you still have to aproach it as fiction, but the author makes you think...and isn't that what an author is suppose to do? It does poke at the sterotypes we all have in our heads. I loved the book and have recommended it to many others.

I LOVED it! It will challenge all of the religious stereotypes that we have been taught and free the mind to see God in a more accurate light. (Religious people will hate it!)

Well, I finished the book yesterday. After a few chapters that I wasn't so sure about I have to say, "I enjoyed it." It was a good read.
