I heartily recommend Pat Conroy's latest offering titled "South of Broad"!
This one is so good I bought my own copy after reading the copy from the library!

There are several great books that I'd recommend. I am always buying books, if not for my nieces and nephews (which I have many), then my cousin's kids, or my kid's school library. Books are sooo wonderful!

Some of my recent favorites that I just can't rave enough about are:

The Graveyard Book by Neil Gaiman. This was so great that it won this year's Newberry Honor Award. http://www.thegraveyardbook... I bought it for my oldest nephew and also for my kid's school. A GREAT book!!!! I sure hope he writes a sequel to it.

Another book that's got more than one to it is Here, There be Dragons by James A. Owen. http://www.heretherebedrago... I also bought this for several family members. GREAT!!! And the first one is being made into a movie!

Another set of dragon books are the Dragon Keepers Chronicles, and the first one in that set is Dragonspell. Those are written by Donita Paul. Those remind me a lot of the Narnia books in the Christian overtone. I really enjoyed those, and there's 5 so far in that series. Great!!
