I would have respected the woman more if she had been honest about her educational background instead of pretending her "doctorate" was worth less than a used tissue. Dr. Bill Cosby honestly earned his doctorate in education. Maya represented what is wrong with America...Give it to me and let me act like I am worth something without doing anything

given the person that has passed, i certainly hope that no one gives credence to the small minded fool that is posting.
Maya Angelou did more, contributed more, and thought in bigger pictures than this.

All words are inadequate to fully express the boundless outflow of emotions I felt when I heard of her passing.
Those are my exact words, but is anyone able to totally know wheat I mean? I might run for political office since I can talk like that......LOL

A great American legend , if only we could all emulate her courage and understanding. I loaned a friend my copy of , I Know why the Caged Bird Sings. I never got it back, but that's okay as long as she learned something from it.

Correction: If people of EVERY race would act that way, the world would be a better place.

It's just a shame that it takes a crisis to get everyone to work together.

It's good to remember that in crises, natural crises, human beings forget for awhile their ignorances, their biases, their prejudices. For a little while, neighbors help neighbors and strangers help strangers.

What a brilliant woman! My favorite remembrance is that piece about wise women.
A wise woman wishes to be no one's enemy; a wise woman refuses to be anyone's victim. Maya Angelou
We are so fortunate to have lived in her time. RIP.
