Emma by Charlotte Bronte turned out to be very very good. I enjoyed it. The ending was wonderful and not disappointing.

Hey, you want a really truly boring book that I had to force myself to read? Try "The Grapes of Wrath." It had a lot of history and a lot of information but, I wanted to cry that I had read the whole book.
Nobody made me read it but me.

Jane Eyre is a treasure compared "The Grapes of Wrath." Aaarrrggghhhh.

Well poodle you will have to let me know how this book turns out! I have only read "Pride & Prejudice" by Jane Austen and I LOVED IT... So maybe if Emma does not work out for you, and you still want a good classic, Pride & Prejudice is for you!

Also by Charlotte Bronte, JANE EYRE is a wonderful book! Even though it kept me depressed and crying at certain points.

I checked it out today at the library. Also, free. Unless I don't turn it in on time.

Has anyone ever read this book by Jane Austen? I have always wanted to but never have. I did read "Sense and Sensibility" and thought that was the most boring book ever. So I am a little apprehensive on "Emma"
