The first 4 or 5 of Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth series are really good; the others aren't bad, but the stories tend to plod along. Wizard's First Rule is great though. The Legend of the Seeker TV series (recently cancelled) is based on these books.

Thanks for the replies. I just finished The Knife of Dreams and am waiting for my copy of The Gathering Storm to get here. I think this will be a series of books that I'll have to read again. These characters are addictive. Brushymtnc, you are right about Rand. I know he's the Dragon Reborn but three women is overkill IMO.

I won't talk about these books anymore so I don't spoil them for anyone. It's good to see other WOT fans on here. Have a wonderful day!

I had read all of the WOT series through the Crossroads of Twilight and fully intended to read Knife of Dreams when it came out. It was one of those things I never got around to and for the most part forgot about until angel posted last week about looking for Knife of Dreams. So I stopped by the library on Friday picked it up. So don't spoil it for me My favorite character is Perrin (my wolf brother) and the Aiel. Rand is a man ho Matt is a playboy. Robert Jordan was a master fantasy writer, his descriptions put you in that world. Totally amazing. I hope Barandon Sanderson can write with the same continuity.

I really enjoyed Eye of The World, its the only one Ive read so far. Ive got the second one ordered. Lan is my favorite character but I also like Egwene.

Brandon Sanderson is definitely one of the best Fantasy writers to come along in a very long time. His Mistborn Trilogy is great and he is getting ready to launch a new 10-12 book series this Summer. The first book, The Way of Kings, is finished and is about 1400 pages long in draft form. I don't see how he churns his stories out so fast, especially considering his excellent world-building. He has to be writing multiple books at the same time. I have a signed copy of The Gathering Storm, but I'm no where near getting to it with the other Robert Jordan WOT books. Sanderson is a better writer than Jordan was. You are right; there are 2 more WOT books coming. The wrap up was basically split into 3 novels.

Thanks for the info. I don't want the series to end! How do you like the series so far? I talked about it so much to my husband he started reading them too. I think Mat is my favorite character of them all.

Does anyone have a copy of the final book of the Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan that they'd be willing to part with at a reasonable price? It's called The Gathering Storm and was finished by Brandon Sanderson. I'm almost done with Book Eleven The Knife of Dreams. I own copies of all the other books but need the last one to finish the series.
