I have no probelm with my teenager reading this account of one who is an "idol" with flaws.

Well, if he's looking for factual, then factual is what he's going to get. Clapton leaves no follies in his life untold. I deeply admire him for this, especially the things he did in the 70's and 80's. I must say that I have a profound respect for him.

As I said I was prepared for a "ghost writer" type of thing as well.
I was pleasantly surprised. My youngest son is supposed to read a "factual" account of an historical figure he admires and being "raised with Clapton" he is reading this.

I thought it might be another bad book written by a "ghost writer" and not Eric Clapton himself. I asked my friend if he wrote well and he told me that Eric Clapton writes better than most critics can play the guitar. It turned out to be a great autobiography. Makes me want to meet him myself.

I pre-ordered mine from Amazon Curley - HUGE fan of his music myself. I enjoyed the book also. To be honest I was prepared to be disappointed. Pleasantly surprised!

I just finished the Clapton autobiography. Excellent reading, but I thought it was interesting mostly because I love his music.

I had to go all the way to Hickory at Best Buy and buy it. It was worth it.

If you get that let me know so I can come and just stand near it!!
I got email that my book shipped today so I guess I know what I'll be doing this weekend!!

I would like to have his Wayne Henderson guitar autographed by Eric. Well, a girl can wish can't she!

A dear friend of mine invested in one of the 1000 signed and numbered leather bound editions. I'm jealous!
