i would be willing to take the books off your hands. I am a stay at home mom of 4 with family that loves to read.

I teach computer classes at the senior center and yes, there is a lending library still in use. The old library is used by the Wilkes Senior Center. Donations of books, magazines, cds, dvds and other items are accepted. The center is located in the old Fairplains School building just past Myers Tire on the right going up. They are open from 8:30 until 4:30 Monday through Friday. Call them at 667-5281 for more information.

The public library could really use some new books to read. They always could have some new stuff in there and everybody's free to take those home with a card!

nursing homes are always needing new material for their residents.

I would highly suggest donating them to the library. Someone will read them and they always welcome donations. Just donated some sci-fi/fantasy books not too long ago.

I would think a donation to the local public library could cover all you hope to reach.

There is the Wilkes Senior Center on 18 N, they have a library, well they used to.

Ebenezer's Children's Homes

I need information about community centers, teen or elder centers that would like to have really good books donated. I have many that I need to finally let go of. Would like them out in the community in places they will be read.
