Hi Nose,

I think we are going to read Two Little Girls in Blue and it will be for April. Please join in and mention the book you recommend when we decide for May. It sounds like a good book. Interest has dwindled a little but hopefully we will pick up steam again.

I am pretty much a lurker on here, and I wonder if you have picked your next book. If not, may I suggest "The Time Traveler's Wife"? I would be happy to supply book club questions for this if someone wanted to start a new thread and read it.

I ordered it from my book club and it should arrive any day. I guess it will be the book for April now since we are just now starting. LOL!

I am sort of new to GoWilkes altogether...and have just checked out the Book Club this morning. I am usually on the message boards. I am a VERY avid reader! I have just started, last night, the sequel to Emilie Richard's Iron Lace..the book is Endless Chain. I absolutely love her books. I have always been a suspense/thriller/mystery fan and have read a lot of Clark, Cornwell, and most of Patterson and love Dean Koontz as well, for a change. I have found Stephen Hunter to be a good read, as well as Ken Follet. But, Emilie Richards is Fantastic! She writes what is classified as romance, but I find it to be more of a saga, captivating charaters and a great deal of mystery...her books span lifetimes and delve into hidden secrets of the characters and locations as well...very highly researched. I read Whiskey Island first and absolutely fell in love with the story, the characters, and her writing ability...I feel as if the characters (Megan and sisters) are my family still to this day...the sequel to that book is The Parting Glass...and it is an excellent book, and is as good a read as Whiskey Island (because you know the charcters so well). I next read Prospect Street and Loved it too...the characters(Faith and family) became family also. I just finished Iron Lace and have started Endless Chain last night...I love these books every bit as much as the first ones I read...Aurore and Rafe are family as well. All of you may want to consider Richards as a Book Club read in the near future. I would like to join you in the March read. I will frequent this site and as soon as you decide on the book, I will pick it up and start reading! (that is as soon as I finish Endless Chain)...Thank you and looking forward to getting to know all of you...Freeatlast

Well I guess we are going to read the Mary Higgins book. I am reading the book Lucky right now and it is pretty good. Allie sent it to me a couple of months ago and it is a memoir about the author who was raped in college. I will probably be done with it in a day or so and will start on the Little Girl in Blue.

Someone from the library contacted us through Gowilkes and would like for us to join them if we like. They meet and discuss the book they read. This would help us choose a book easier if anyone is interested. We could also meet with them at the library. If anyone likes this idea let me know and I will get all the details.

Mary Higgins Clark sounds good to me, I haven't had much luck with her books in the past, but I'll give it a try.

Mary Higgins sounds good to me. The book someone mentioned sounds great. I think two people have mentioned this author. Someone also mentioned Patricia Cornwell and romance novels. I am game for any of these.

What should we do? I am willing to go along with anything.

ok what about this mary higgins clark--two little girls in blue--
a young couples worst nightmare comes true when they pay the ransom for their kidnapped twins kelly and kathy---only kathy returns.the terrified little girl comes home clutching a note that says her sister is dead, but then kathy tells her mother"mommy kelly is crying for you,and she's scared," no one takes her seriously except her mother who will risk everything to find out if her little girlis still alive.

I'm game for anything - I like books that can be purchased at Wal*Mart though ;) I'm usually a romance novel addict, so anything along those lines would be great. By the way, has anyone read Christine Feehan's Carpathian novels? Talk about steamy!!

I would also like to join in. I'm up for anything. Nicholas Sparks or Mary Higgins Clark are along the lines of what I usually read.
