I saw book crossing years ago and the idea sounds fun. But most people use http://www.paperbackswap.com, mail your book, get a credit, use credit to order you a book and someone else sends you a book.

Today while using StumbleUpon I happened across a website called BookCrossing.com I thought I would let everyone know about it here because it sounds very interesting. Basically, you take a book you would like to share with others, register it on this site so it gets a number, write the number inside with a little message and the website or whatever you would like and then you leave the book some where like a doctors office or coffee shop. The idea is that someone will pick it up and read it (and that they will go the website and enter the number so you know that your book was picked up). The next person is encouraged to leave the book some where when there done and so goes the chain. The website helps to see where your book has traveled too.
